Historically, the Bureau des Moniteurs was the first guide office in the Hérault and Gardons valleys. It is at the origin of the equipment of all the sites of outdoor activities. For more than 20 years, our professional instructors have been exploring the Cévennes to find the most beautiful natural sites in order to share unique experiences with you. Their knowledge of the territory and their passion for outdoor sports promise you a breathtaking adventure. The instructor and guide office from the Hérault Valley regroups independent workers. They all are qualified with state level (Brevet d’Etat). We are working with climbing instructors, caving instructors, trekking guides, and mountains guides.
The office goal is not to make profits. On the contrary it is a local union gathering together the guides from the area. It also studies and honors the professional member interests by protecting them.
So, a money debit is taken from the daily credit of each guide to pay the secretary, and to pay the rent, the gears, the activity site preparation and the office publicity… What is left is given to the guides.
